FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q. How can I pay for my purchases? A. We accept cash, personal checks, money orders, and travelers checks. Plus, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express. Proper identification will be required for all purchases with the exception of cash. Q. How much will my books cost? A. This depends on what courses you are taking and whether you buy new or used textbooks. Most full time students can expect to spend an average of $325 on their textbooks and supplies each semester. Q. What are used Textbooks? A. Used textbooks are just as the name implies. Whenever possible the bookstore sells used textbooks for all requisitioned classes. You can save 25% when you buy used textbooks. The only time used books might not be available would be in the case of a new edition or a late order coming from a professor. Q. What is your textbook buyback policy? A. There are many factors that determine the value of your books during the buyback period:
You may be offered up to ½ of the price of the book if the book has been adopted for future use and the book is in good condition You may be offered wholesale price for a book if the bookstore has more copies of a book than it needs - if a book has not been adopted for future use or book order for upcoming semester was not received by the time buyback period occurs – if a textbook has a new edition – if a textbook was sold as a package and not all components of the package are in acceptable condition Q. What is the bookstore return policy? A. Original register receipts must accompany all returns. Refunds will be issued in the original method of payment except checks, which will be refunded in a store credit, redeemable for cash after 5 business days. Merchandise must be returned in the same condition that it was sold.
Textbooks bought for a full term class are returnable within the first 10 days of class for a full refund. Textbooks purchased after the first 10 days of class are not returnable
Textbooks purchased for a short term (3-4 weeks) are returnable with the first 5 days of class for a full refund. Textbooks purchased after the 5th day of class are not returnable Non-returnable textbooks may be sold back during the buyback period. Clothing and general merchandise items may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of the original sale Computer items are non-refundable once opened unless the item is defective. Food, beverage, health items and cosmetics items are non-returnable
